One-tap approval

The client gets a link, opens the estimate on their phone and taps "Approve". No sign-up, no app, no "I'll send the signed copy tomorrow".

Why a link and not a PDF by email

A PDF in an email is a document that has to be opened, read and replied to. Often it just sits there. A link opens on the phone as a simple page: the work list, totals, terms and one big button. It is easier for the client to approve than to postpone.

The link is unique to each estimate and stays valid until you revoke it. The client does not need to sign up or create a password.

What happens when the client approves

  • The estimate status changes to "Approved" with date and time.
  • You get a notification on your phone or by email.
  • The approved version is locked – later changes become a new version or an extra work.
  • The client can open the same link at any time and see what they approved.

When the client disagrees

The client can not only approve but also leave a comment: "without this work", "price too high". The comment appears on the estimate, you adjust it and send a new version. The whole exchange stays with the job site, not in chat messages.

Does this approval hold

The approval is recorded with date, time and technical data. It is clear evidence of what the client approved and when. Its legal effect in your relationship with the client is set by your agreement and the law – on Contractor Pro you can also generate a contract template from the approved estimate for signing.

The same for extra works

An extra work mid-project is approved in exactly the same way: photo, price, link, button. It usually takes less time than a phone call.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the client link valid?

Until you revoke it. The client can come back at any time and see what they approved. When you change the estimate, the client sees the new version on the same page.

Can the client approve only part of the estimate?

The client approves the whole version or leaves a comment on which lines to change. You adjust and send a new version – that keeps the history clear.

Do I get a notification when the client approves?

Yes – by email and as a browser notification. In the job site list the estimate status changes to "Approved" immediately.
